State Director’s Message

 Hello, New Jersey Good Sam!  New Jersey has so much to offer.  If you want to visit Victorian homes, tube down the Delaware River, go whale watching, walk on the boardwalk or sun on the beach, play in a casino, see pro football or hockey, go shopping, paddle in the pines looking for the Jersey Devil, climb a lighthouse or go camping, New Jersey has all that and more.  There are plenty of campgrounds throughout the state for our Good Sam campers to visit and enjoy.

 The highlight of New Jersey Good Sam is our annual Samboree.  Our theme for 2012 is “Harvest Moon Fall Festival”.  It’s on October 12 – 14 at Chestnut Lake Campground in Port Republic, exit 48 of the Garden State Parkway.  We hope you can join us for a weekend of fun and activities with family and friends.  The registration form is on the web page.

 There’s a story about a small town in Nebraska where a man needed to move his barn that was flooding because it was too close to a stream.  The whole town took on the project.  Some said it couldn’t be done but together, 350 townspeople moved the barn up a hill out of harm’s way.  The reason that most people think that something cannot be done is because they know they can’t do it alone.  But impossible things can be done if we join together.  Working together we can not only move barns, we can change the world.  Come on, New Jersey…let’s move that barn!

    The New Jersey Good Sam Club has been active for over 35 years. We have 14 different and unique Chapters. Some of our Chapters are geared toward a more mature lifestyle and some are geared towards young families and everything in between.
